Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling is doing everything he can to shed the "cash grabber" tag by driving around in another Smart Car.
Having joined City in a £49million bargain over the recent transfer, the England international knocked some people's socks off at the club's preparation ground when he turned up not in his classic £125,000 Mercedes, but rather in this minor Smart Car.
A source close to the player revealed: "He would not like to be known as Mr Moneybags and unquestionably won't currently."
In spite of procuring a reported £200,000-per-week as wages, the 21-year-old has jettisoned his high engine in support for something somewhat more practical.
Maybe he is following in the strides of City partner Jesus Navas, who's car around Manchester in a Nissan Mic.
Does it matter what car he drives? As long as he keeps goalkeepers busy, I think Manchester City fan will be just fine.
