Sad news for English football, oh well Adam Johnson fans.
Today, the former Manchester city star and Sunderland winger, Adam Johnson was found guilty by a majority of 10-12 jurors at Bradford crown court.
The disgraced footballer was not found guilty by the court on a second count- oral sex with a child. The trial lasted more than two weeks.
Adam Johnson admitted grooming the 15 years old girl in his expensive Range Rover but didn't plead guilty to other charges, which he was later found guilty of.
Sunderland has also terminated his contract.
I honestly don't get the lust for underage girls by men, especially this sports stars. When there are million of wanna be adult WAGs, It doesn't make sense to me at all.
Adam could spend up to 5 years in jail, as the judge confirmed the case falls into a range of four to ten years prison sentence.
It's a shame that his career will end this way.
I hope younger stars will learn from this and not fall for temptations like these.
