HALA MADRID ''LA UNDECIMA'': CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE

After a very spirited play in Milan, 120 minutes was not enough to get an eventual winner for the 2015/2015 Champions league cup, the winner was finally decided in a penalty shootout. The Los Blancos outfit saw themselves to their ''Undecima''  European Champions League glory.

Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 15 minute by Ramos assisted by a Bale header. However, Atletico fought on in the first half trying to get an equaliser which didn't go through.
Three minutes into the second half saw Griezmann hitting his penalty unto the goal post bar and coming off speedily. Later replays showed that the referee didn't make a right call on the penalty which was missed.
Atletico fired on from all angles which saw Carrasco slotting in a cut-in pass from JuanFran in the 79th minute putting the game at levels.
After 90 minutes, no winner emerged despite Real Madrid pushing in and trying to get a late winner at the San Siro.

The game entered into the extra time with none of the teams scoring.
Then the penalty shootout was the eventual decider.
Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show as he scored the final winner of the shootout after Juanfran missed his shot as his ball hit the side bar of the goal post.
Atletico Madrid has now missed in clinching the European Cup  starting from the 1974 final which they lost in a replayed game to Bayern Munich to losing in Lisbon two seasons ago and a repeat in Italy to same Real Madrid neighbours.

Thus, Real Madrid wins their 11th European Crown with Manager Zinedine Zidane making the history.
